No. You can sign up and run scans for 14 days without entering any payment information. At the end of your trial you’ll be prompted to choose a plan to continue.

VaultMate scans files on your Windows device — documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, text files, and more — looking for patterns that match PII (like SSNs, emails, credit card numbers) and PHI (like medical record numbers, dates of birth). It reports what it found and where, but never sends your file contents to our servers. Only metadata (file name, file path, match count) is transmitted.

Yes. Both plans are monthly subscriptions with no long-term contract. You can cancel from your account dashboard and your access continues until the end of the billing period.

Not yet. VaultMate is an early-stage product and we do not currently hold SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or GDPR certifications. We are transparent about this on our Security page. Our architecture is designed with privacy in mind — we never store your file contents — and formal certifications are on our roadmap.

The Personal plan supports up to 3 devices. If you need to protect more devices — especially across a team — the SMB plan scales with you at $75/device/month.
