The GDPR risk score (0-10) is calculated based on several factors:
- Type of data: PII, PHI, and HIPAA data receive higher scores
- Sensitivity: SSNs, credit cards, and medical records score higher than names or emails
- Volume: Files with multiple sensitive data points score higher
- Context: Unencrypted storage of sensitive data increases the score
We recommend different scan frequencies based on your organization's needs:
- Daily: For high-security environments or devices with frequently changing files
- Weekly: Standard recommendation for most organizations
- Monthly: For devices with relatively static content
- On the server: We retain the last 10 scans per device. Older scans are automatically purged.
- On the agent: Reports are retained locally for 72 hours after upload, then automatically cleaned up.
